FAQ’s

How long will the hair extensions last?

You can expect your extensions to last between 3-4 months depending on your natural hair growth, aftercare regime and maintencance programme.

Can i use the same hair again?

Yes, providing you take good care of them your extensions are re-usable, using the rebond system.

Will my hair get damaged?

No, you will not sustain damage if your extensions have been applied and removed by a qualified extension stylist.

Can I take the hair extensions out myself?

No, your extension stylist must carry out the removal process, otherwise you’ll risk damaging your hair.

How often can I wash my hair?

As often as you wish but we recommend 2 to 3 times a week. This will prevent any build up of natural oils on the scalp which could affect the durability of the bond.

Can I tie my hair back?

Yes, but we would advise that you wear it tied in a loose scrunchie at the nape of the neck or in a loose plait.

How long does this process take?

This usually depends on the client’s hair and the thickness of it, but usually a full head takes 6 hours on average and a half head takes around 2-3 hours.

How do you apply hair extensions?

I specialise in pre-bonded and strand by strand method. I use keratin based glue which is a natural protein and will not damage your hair. It is kind to your hair and very easy to remove unlike lots of other types of glue which tend to be silicon based.

Can I style them with heated appliances?

Yes, you may style them just as you would with your own hair, curl, straighten or blow-dry them.  Just remember to ensure that you don’t use heated appliances on the bonds as they will then melt down.

Can I dye my roots with them in?

Yes you can dye your roots with them in, although you must make sure NEVER to go near the bonds with the dye.

Will they make my natural hair thinner?

Absolutely not! Without noticing, on average we lose between 50-100 hairs a day. When you have hair extensions fitted it will be less noticeable, so when it comes to having them removed you may find some of your natural hair in the bond. This is because it has been held in place by the bonds. You may think that your hair feels thinner afterwards but this is because you will be so used to having thicker hair from the extensions.
